HOW TO JOIN!
THE 2019 ENROLLMENT IS NOW CLOSED! ANYONE THAT FILLS OUT THE FORM BELOW WILL BE FOR THE 2020 CLASS. THANK YOU.
The Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Cadet Battalion has open enrollment once a year. Applications are accepted beginning in May. Interviews and introductions are done during the summer with classes beginning in September. Every new Cadet must participate in an 8-week mandatory recruit class. This takes place every Thursday night from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Headquarters in West Palm Beach. After completing this class Cadets are required to attend bi-weekly meetings. If interested, please fill out the form shown below. You will be contacted shortly with further information.
Those interested must be at least 14 years of age and in the 9th grade to join. We do not accept seniors or older to start. Cadets age out 1 year after graduation from high school.
Cadets must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher to remain an active member in the program. Those with a lower GPA will be determined on a case by case basis.
All Cadets are required to attend meetings 2 times per month and are required to participate in community service functions to maintain active membership in the program.
